Honeycomb introduces a generative AI query tool for its observability platform
16/05/2023
Honeycomb, the San Francisco-based observability platform, has launched a new tool called Query Assistant, which aims to simplify application error troubleshooting. Powered by generative AI software from OpenAI, Query Assistant analyses application data using natural language prompts, reducing developers’ need for SQL expertise. The tool can automatically generate a query from a developer’s description of the data required to diagnose a technical issue. It can also analyze multiple types of application data and visualize technical information in graphs.
Query Assistant complements Honeycomb’s existing AI tool, BubbleUp, which automatically surfaces related information to speed up troubleshooting when a developer reviews data points about an error. Honeycomb provides an observability platform that allows companies to detect and fix technical issues in their applications.
The company claims the platform can ingest billions of rows of troubleshooting data, and following a recent $50m funding round, Honeycomb disclosed that more than 600 companies use it.
