Microsoft-owned LinkedIn releases AI-powered assistant for job recruiters
05/10/2023
LinkedIn has announced introducing new artificial intelligence (AI) features to aid job recruiters in sourcing candidates. The new tool, known as “Recruiter 2024,” uses AI to assist recruiters in finding suitable candidates by enabling “natural language” questions and the creation of ad campaigns for jobs. LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky stated that AI can help create new playbooks for the industry, and the platform aims to provide recruiters with the necessary tools to build them. The company has also launched AI-powered coaching in its LinkedIn Learning section, which tailors content and offers real-time advice based on users’ career aspirations.
LinkedIn has seen a significant increase in interest in its AI course offerings over the past year. The AI-powered recruiting and learning tools are currently available to a select group of users and will be made widely accessible. Microsoft, LinkedIn’s parent company, is reportedly using technology from OpenAI, the creator of the popular AI chatbot ChatGPT, to develop its AI features. LinkedIn released AI-assisted messages for recruiters earlier this year, with 74% of users reporting time savings. The integration of AI-powered applications is becoming more prevalent among various companies, including Meta, which unveiled its AI chat assistant known as Meta AI for its platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
